Jamaal Augustine, also known as @jahwigs, is a visionary entrepreneur, creative strategist, and community leader with over 20 years of experience in graphic design, creative marketing, event management, and business development.

As the Founder of EPG Creative Marketplace, he has dedicated his career to helping businesses increase visibility, grow their brands, and connect with their audiences through innovative marketing solutions and impactful events.

His leadership and influence have earned him several accolades, including the 2022 JN Bank/JN Money Marketing & Branding Award, the 2024 Award of Excellence from the Jerome Henry Foundation, a 2024 Literary Award from the Toronto Dub Poets Society, and the 2025 Marcus Garvey Award / Emancipation Month Award for extensive contributions toward building a sustainable independent Black business community.

In 2023, Jamaal was appointed as Vice Chair of the Anti-Black Racism and Black Excellence Advisory Committee with the Durham Catholic District School Board, where he continues to support equity and education initiatives across the region.

He is the visionary behind community-building initiatives like "Shopping It Local" and "The FUNtastic Book Fair", as well as the founder of the "Network & Build" event series, which connects emerging entrepreneurs with respected leaders such as Dr. Umar Johnson, Farley Flex, Randall Adjei, Karen Carrington and more.

EPG Creative Marketplace has collaborated with notable figures and institutions including Earn Your Leisure, Little X, Troy Crossfield, Ben Johnson, Jean Augustine, Raymond Cho, Jill Andrew, and Jamaal Magloire. Jamaal has also partnered with flagship events like the Durham Caribbean Festival and Toronto Carnival, and supported performances by musical legends such as Beres Hammond and Queen Ifrica.
